Among the many motorsport-inspired timepieces in the RM universe, none form a tighter bond with an event than the Richard Mille Le Mans Classic watches. Created in partnership with one of the most celebrated historic racing events in the world, these limited-edition models pay tribute to the Le Mans Classic — a biannual fixture (soon to be annual) that brings vintage endurance racing back to life at the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe. In this guide, we’ll take a closer look at every Richard Mille Le Mans Classic watch released to date, from the early RM 011 models to the most recent editions, highlighting what makes each one unique.

Richard Mille & LMC

Launched in 2002, Le Mans Classic (LMC) has grown into a major retrospective of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Each edition draws more than 200,000 spectators, features over 750 classic race cars, and brings together drivers and enthusiasts from around the world. Although traditionally held every two years, the 2020 and 2021 editions were canceled due to the pandemic. The event returned in 2022 and 2023, and beginning in 2026, it will become an annual fixture.

Richard Mille has supported Le Mans Classic since its inception and has released a limited-edition watch for every running of the event since 2008. These RM LMC watches often feature bright green and white colorways tied to the event and are produced in small numbers, making them highly collectible among racing and watch enthusiasts alike.

RM011 Le Mans Classic (2008)

The very first Richard Mille Le Mans Classic limited edition debuted in 2008, based on the RM 011 Flyback Chronograph originally developed for Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa. It introduced what would become a recurring theme for future editions.

Housed in the familiar Richard Mille tonneau-shaped case with a skeletonized dial and rubber strap, the watch features the RM 011-S automatic movement, equipped with a flyback chronograph, 60-minute countdown timer, oversized date display under 12 o’clock, and a month indicator. The calendar indications are, in fact, annual calendars. The movement also includes a variable-geometry rotor designed to adapt winding efficiency to the wearer’s activity, along with a 55-hour power reserve.

The green and white Le Mans Classic logo appears just above the date display at 12 o’clock, while the tachymeter scale sits on a green inner flange, visually tying the watch to the track. Production was limited to 200 pieces, with 150 made in full titanium and 50 in a red gold and titanium combination. In today’s market, expect to pay around $180,000 for a titanium RM011 LMC.

RM010 Le Mans Classic (2010)

For the fifth edition of Le Mans Classic in 2010, Richard Mille released the RM010 Le Mans Classic. It was the second model created specifically for the event and introduced a new feature to the series: a 24-hour display located at 2 o’clock, referencing the endurance format of the race.

The watch is powered by the RM 005-S skeletonized automatic movement, featuring hours, minutes, seconds, a date display, and a 24-hour indicator. Like many other Richard Mille calibers from the period, it includes a variable-geometry rotor to optimize winding based on the wearer’s activity, along with a 55-hour power reserve.

Design-wise, the watch retains the signature tonneau-shaped case and skeletonized dial layout. A green flange and white minutes track in carbon fiber reflect the event’s signature colors, while the Le Mans Classic logo with checkered flag appears at 9 o’clock. Case dimensions measure 48.00mm x 39.70mm x 12.60mm, with water resistance rated to 50 meters.

Production was limited to 150 pieces, available in titanium, white gold, and red gold. Today, the price of a pre-owned RM010 LMC watch in titanium hovers around the $200,000 mark.

RM008 LMC & RM011 LMC (2012)

For the sixth edition of Le Mans Classic in 2012, Richard Mille released two separate limited editions: the ultra-exclusive RM008 LMC and the more widely available RM011 LMC. Each model took a different approach to honoring the event, but both incorporated subtle nods to the Le Mans Classic. Richard Mille tapped into the blue and yellow palette for these watches, echoing the colors of the rumble strip on the 24-hour circuit.

The RM008 LMC is one of the rarest Le Mans Classic models ever produced — just two pieces were made. This split-seconds chronograph with tourbillon is housed in a microblasted grade 5 titanium case with a DLC-coated caseband and a satin-finished bezel engraved with dual “Le Mans” stripes at the top and bottom.

The manual-winding movement features a split-seconds chronograph, tourbillon, power reserve indicator, torque display, and function selector. The chronograph seconds and minutes hands are accented in blue and yellow, while the green, white, and black Le Mans Classic logo is placed prominently at 12 o’clock. Case dimensions measure 48.00mm x 39.70mm x 14.95mm, and power reserve is approximately 70 hours.

The 2012 RM011 LMC, a follow-up to the 2008 model, is again limited to 150 pieces in titanium. Like the RM010, this version adds the 24-hour counter to mimic the length of the race. Identical to all RM011 watches, functions include a flyback chronograph, along with an annual calendar with date and month displays. Unlike the original RM011 LMC, the 2012 version includes the pair of “Le Mans” stripes on the bezel.

Given the rarity of the RM008 LMC, that one is essentially priceless. Conversely, the titanium RM011 from 2012 can be picked up on the secondary market for around $190,000.

RM030 Le Mans Classic (2014)

For the seventh edition of Le Mans Classic in 2014, Richard Mille released the RM030 LMC, marking the fourth official watch created for the event. Limited to 100 pieces, the model introduced a new model and movement to the series and continued the brand’s tradition of incorporating subtle mechanical and visual references to the historic 24-hour race.

The RM030 is powered by an automatic movement equipped with the now familiar Richard Mille declutchable rotor — a mechanism designed to prevent overwinding by automatically disconnecting from the mainspring once it’s fully wound. This system is tied to the winding indicator at 9 o’clock, offering a clear view of optimal torque levels for consistent performance. Also included on the dial is a 24-hour display at 2 o’clock, with the number 16 highlighted as a tribute to the 4 p.m. start time of the Le Mans race.

This Richard Mille Le Mans Classic watch sports a white ATZ ceramic case with a carbon fiber flange and an NTPT carbon crown. Again, we see the tell-tale green and white colorway, complete with the Le Mans Classic emblem on the dial. A prized version of a Richard Mille Le Mans Classic watch, the RM030 LMC is priced around the $250,000 mark on the secondary market.

RM 11-02 Le Mans Classic (2016)

For the eighth edition of Le Mans Classic in 2016, Richard Mille introduced an LMC version of the RM 11-02, which is an automatic flyback chronograph with an annual calendar, oversized date, month display, and UTC hand for dual time tracking. This marked the first (and currently only) Richard Mille Le Mans Classic edition to include a GMT complication, adding extra travel functionality to a watch already packed with motorsport-oriented functions. A 24-hour counter remains at 6 o’clock, mimicking the duration of the race.

The case (measuring 50mm x 42.70mm x 16.15mm) of the RM 11-02 LMC is made from white ATZ ceramic for the bezel and caseback, paired with a green Quartz TPT caseband. The customary green and white elements also appear throughout the dial and flange, including the Le Mans Classic logo positioned just above the oversized date display. The RM 11-02 LMC was produced in a limited edition of 150 pieces, and in today’s pre-owned market, they’re valued at around $270,000.

RM 11-03 Le Mans Classic (2018)

For the ninth edition of Le Mans Classic in 2018, Richard Mille introduced the RM 11-03 LMC, marking the debut of the RM 11-03 platform in the series. Following the now-familiar Le Mans color palette, this edition was also the first time the RM 11-03 appeared in white ceramic and the first appearance of British racing green as the primary accent color. Case dimensions remain in line with the RM 11-03 family, measuring 49.94mm x 44.50mm x 16.15mm, and there are the grooves and protrusions along the bezel — a defining design trait of the RM 11-03.

Like all RM 11-03 watches, this one is powered by a skeletonized automatic movement featuring a flyback chronograph, annual calendar with oversized date at 12 o’clock, and a month display between 4 and 5 o’clock. However, because this is an LMC edition, there’s the addition of the 24-hour totalizer at 6 o’clock in honor of the race length. The green-and-white Le Mans Classic logo appears at 12 o’clock, consistent with previous models.

The RM 11-03 LMC was released in a limited edition of 150 pieces and officially launched over the 2018 Le Mans Classic weekend. Price-wise, expect to pay anywhere between $450,000 and $600,000+ for a pre-owned RM 11-03 LMC on the secondary market.

RM 029 Le Mans Classic (2022)

After a four-year hiatus due to pandemic-related cancellations, Le Mans Classic returned in 2022 — and Richard Mille marked the occasion with the release of the RM 029 LMC. It was the eighth Le Mans Classic edition from the brand, and the first based on the RM 029 platform, known for its simpler time-and-date layout compared to the chronograph-heavy RM 011 series. The RM 029 features a skeletonized grade 5 titanium RMAS7 automatic movement, powering the hours, minutes, seconds, an oversize date display at 4 o’clock, and a 24-hour counter at 1:30.

RM 029 Le Mans Classic

While the functionality and display may be simpler, the case design was anything but. Measuring 48.15mm x 39.70mm x 13.10mm, the construction introduced a first for the brand: double white “Le Mans” stripes inlaid into a green Quartz TPT front bezel. A white Quartz TPT caseband and green Quartz TPT caseback complete the layered structure.

Limited to 150 pieces, the RM 029 LMC is valued at around $350,000 on today’s secondary market.

RM 72-01 Le Mans Classic (2023)

In 2023, Le Mans Classic celebrated a major milestone: the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. To celebrate, Richard Mille released the RM 72-01 Le Mans Classic, the ninth limited-edition watch created for the event and the first to use the RM 72-01 Automatic Winding Lifestyle Flyback Chronograph model.

The watch is powered by the in-house Caliber CRMC1, a skeletonized automatic movement featuring a flyback chronograph with patented double oscillating pinions. Functions include hours, minutes, small seconds, a semi-instantaneous date display at 7 o’clock, a 24-hour chronograph counter at 5 o’clock (note the highlighted 16 for the race start time), 60-minute counter at 2 o’clock, central chronograph seconds, and a function selector indicated at 3 o’clock. Power reserve is approximately 50 hours, whether or not the chronograph is running.

Case dimensions measure 38.40mm x 47.34mm x 11.68mm, and the case is constructed from green and white Quartz TPT. That signature colorway continues across the dial, with a green upper flange and green and white accents throughout the skeletonized titanium display. Finishing off the LMC theme is the race’s logo placed at 11 o’clock.

Limited to 150 pieces, Richard Mille priced the RM 72-01 LMC at $335,000 at retail. However, on the secondary market, these watches are priced well over $500,000.

RM 30-01 LMC (2025)

To celebrate the 12th edition of Le Mans Classic, Richard Mille unveiled the RM 30-01 Le Mans Classic — a new 150-piece limited edition that continues the brand’s tradition of honoring the event with a dedicated timepiece. This 2025 Richard Mille release marks the tenth official Le Mans Classic model since the first debuted in 2008 and introduces an updated design language built around the RM 30-01 model.

The RM 30-01 LMC is powered by the automatic Caliber RMAR2, now modified to include a 24-hour counter at 2 o’clock, complete with a shaded “16” to mark the official race start time. Like other RM 30-01 models, the skeletonized dial evokes the layout of a racing circuit, with sculpted bridges and cutouts visible through the openworked display — an espeically fitting motif for this motorsport-themed edition. Additional functions include a 55-hour power reserve indicator, a clutch engagement indicator at 11 o’clock that shows whether the rotor is active or disengaged, and a function selector at 3 o’clock to toggle between winding, date setting, and time setting.

The case is built from titanium with a Green Quartz TPT caseband, flanked by top and bottom titanium bezels. Green and orange accents appear throughout, including the interior flange, counters, and hands, while the Le Mans Classic checkered flag motif frames the oversized date display. Rather than being placed dial-side like on previous versions, the race’s logo is printed on the sapphire caseback.

Sticker price for the RM 30-01 LMC is CHF 220,000 (approximately $270,000 USD), but expect secondary market prices to be over $350,000.

With just one release every two years (until recently) Richard Mille Le Mans Classic watches have grown into one of the most collectible and recognizable series in the brand’s catalog. Each edition reflects the brand’s deep ties to motorsport, often incorporating new complications, materials, or case designs while staying true to the event’s green-and-white theme.

Whether it’s the classic RM 11 chronographs or the modern time-and-date RM 30-01, every model captures a different facet of endurance racing’s legacy. And as the event continues to grow — in both spectators and frequency — it’s almost certain that the watches created in its honor will only become more desirable with time.
