Nicknamed Killy after the French Olympic skiing legend Jean-Claude Killy, this Rolex Dato-Compax Triple Calendar Chronograph is one of Rolex’s most important creations. The model was produced between 1958 and 1962. This timepiece is made entirely in 18K yellow gold and has a silvered dial with three sunken chronograph sub-dials, dauphine hands, a date indication on the dial’s outer perimeter, and double date windows for the day and month. A plexiglass crystal protects the dial. Housed on the 36mm case is the Valjoux 72C manual-winding caliber with 17 jewels.
