Buy Jaeger-LeCoultre Watches

Jaeger-LeCoultre is a veritable powerhouse of haute horlogerie. Founded in 1833 by Antoine LeCoultre in a small village in Switzerland, Jaeger-LeCoultre has always been on the forefront of innovation in the watchmaking industry. By the year 1870, the company employed over 500 people, and it became known as the “Grand Maison of the Vallée de Joux.”

In 1903, Edmond Jaeger issued a challenge to all Swiss watch manufactures to develop and create the ultra-thin movements that he had designed. Jacques-David LeCoultre, Antoine’s grandson, eagerly rose to the challenge, and soon his maison had produced the world’s thinnest pocket watches. This event eventually led to further collaboration between the two, and the brand was renamed Jaeger-LeCoultre in 1937.

Today, Jaeger-LeCoultre continues to push the boundaries of watchmaking, both technically and aesthetically. Luxury Bazaar has authentic Jaeger-Lecoultre watches available for sale in their online boutique.

Unique Features

The impeccable level of precision that goes into each timepiece is second-to-none. The minute attention to detail sets Jaeger-LeCoultre apart from the crowd.
Decorated Parts - Jaeger-LeCoultre puts the utmost care into each caliber component. After the parts have been machined, they are then decorated with intricate etchings, even if they will eventually be covered by other components.
Pallets - The pallet is a small part of the watch which requires the highest level of precision. Jaeger-LeCoultre was one of the first watchmakers to produce their own pallets, and it is one last remaining manufacturers that still produces this component.
Snow-Setting - This innovative gem-setting technique was pioneered by Jaeger-LeCoultre. Inspired by the random and unique patterns found in nature, snow-setting involves carefully selecting stones of different sizes to be set side-by-side, resulting in a one-of-a-kind pattern each time.
Enameling - While popular in the nineteenth century, enameling had largely become a lost art by the second half of the twentieth century. In 1994, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s artisans sought to rediscover the secrets of this technique, and they now have three enamellists who are trained in the traditional methods of this painstakingly meticulous art.

Collections

Those looking to buy an authentic Jaeger-LeCoultre watch may be interested in the following collections:

Reverso - In the 1930s, many British colonial officers were also avid polo players, but due to the intensity of the sport, they would often end up with broken watches. The Reverso watch was designed to protect the face of the watch during these matches. Its ingenious design allows the wearer to flip the face in a single movement, revealing a blank side which may be decorated with an artistic work with engraving or enameling. Today, the Reverso collection also includes watches that have two unique dials.

Hybris Mechanica and Artistica - The Hybris collections push the limits of technical mastery in watchmaking, artfully combining skillful precision with exquisite artistic flair. The captivating complications command the attention of anyone who sees one of these majestic timepieces.

Rendez-Vous - Jaeger-LeCoultre was one of the first watchmakers to offer elegant wristwatches for ladies to buy. With small calibers and brilliant gemstones, these predominantly Art Deco-inspired works with Art Nouveau flourishes will complement any ensemble.
