The Yacht-Master is available in 35 mm and 40 mm case sizes. Rolex coined the term Rolesium to describe the Yacht-Master's stainless steel and platinum finish. The dial and bezel are made of platinum while the case and bracelet are made from Rolex's own 420 stainless steel. The center links of the bracelet are highly polished while the outer ones are brushed. This treatment results in a very attractive two-tone color.
A yellow-gold finish is also available. The bezel is yellow-gold. The yellow-gold bracelet contains highly polished center links while the outer links are a darker color. Finally, a combination yellow-gold and stainless steel finish is available. In this finish, the inner links are yellow-gold while the outer links are brushed stainless steel. The bezel is yellow-gold. Depending on the case size, the dial may be blue, champagne or steel.
The Yacht-Master features Rolex's Maxi-Dial, which has larger hour markers and hands. The large size allows for more luminous material to be applied making it far easier to read in the dark. The Yacht-Master contains the Rolex caliber 3135 movement. Manufactured totally in-house, this 31-jewel automatic movement features a Breguet overcoil balance-spring, Kif shock absorption and Microstella adjustment screws.
When you wear the Rolex Yacht-Master, eyes will be drawn to the watch. The watch is so flawless that everyone notices its beauty. In the sunlight, the mirror finish sparkles like no other watch. You will likely find it starting many conversations.
