At the upper level within the highest stratum of luxury timepieces exists the storied Maîtres Du Temps Chapter One wristwatch series. There is quite literally no finer specimen of horological engineering mastery on display in any other watch on the market. With 558 meticulously crafted moving parts, and 58 strategically placed friction-reducing jewels, the in-house custom manufactured SCH02 caliber is by far the most complex in the world, owing to this watch line's extreme exclusivity.
After even the briefest examination of the watch face, it is no wonder why the Chapter One series' calibre is so fantastically intricate. The wealth of elaborate, yet truly useful complications is absolutely astonishing. At the center of the watch's face sit hour and minute hands with a counterpoised red second hand, the movement of which is especially exciting to behold during stopwatch operations. At noon sits a 60-minute counter, while at three and nine o'clock sit retrograde date and GMT counters, respectively. Positioned at six o'clock is a mesmerizing one-minute tourbillon, which by itself is a masterpiece of engineering. But the complications do not stop there; below the dial sits a horizontal roller displaying day of the week, while an supremely accurate, patented laser-cut blue moon phase roller sits above the dial. Both rollers are constructed of anodized aluminum.
Watches in the Chapter One series of Maîtres Du Temps watches are available with cases in 18k red gold, white gold, and titanium with white gold accents. All models features an anti-reflective sapphire crystal case back for an unobstructed view into the watch's inner workings. Hand-stitched alligator leather straps with metal buckles matching the case material complete this truly exquisite timepiece.
