Well known for its innovative horological engineering and its vast array of wristwatch designs, Parmigiani Fleurier is one of only a handful of luxury timepiece makers that produces watches driven by COSC-certified movements. The company's Kalpa Tonda Gold series is a shining example of the product of the finest Swiss engineering and exceptional design.
Available in either lustrous 18k rose gold or gleaming white gold, the Kalpa Tonda's round, 39-millimeter diameter case is pleasingly slim, at only 8.5 millimeters. A brown or black hand-stitched Hermes calf leather strap with tongue buckle elegantly compliments the case design. The Kalpa Tonda's dial, available in white, black and gold, features easily readable Arabic numerals placed every two hours, beginning at 12 o'clock with tick marks filling in the gaps to indicate the hours in between. All hour markings are embossed on the dial in either rose or white gold, providing a genteel touch. Delta-shaped hour and minute hands sweep over a small seconds counter complication positioned at six o'clock. An elongated aperture within the seconds dial reveals the date as it rolls by on its wheel. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial and provides 30 meters of water resistance.
Parmigiani Fleurier watches are known by watch connoisseurs around the world for their exacting engineering. Driving the functions of the Kalpa Tonda Gold 39mm is Parmigiani Fleurier's PF 331.01 automatic movement; its double barrel yields an impressive 55-hour power reserve. This timepiece will provide generations of flawless operation thanks to the inclusion of 32 jewels placed throughout the movement in strategic positions to reduce friction at critical points. The phenomenal movement can be enjoyed through the sapphire case back.
