Description:

2012 - Baselworld.
Later in 2012 Corum will go "back to the past" with a re-issue of the Chargé d'Affaires alarm watch.
This will be a Limited Edition issue.
This watch was originally created in 1956 and the purpose of the Alarm was to help you not to miss your appointments (hence the name of the watch - French for someone in charge of your affairs).
The Corum Charge d'Affaires (reference 2295 221 07.0004) contains the name of the model that was launched in 1956 with the first collection of the Corum brand.
The 18K White gold case has a 39 mm diameter.
It contains a hand-wound movement Caliber A. Schild 1475
The alarm has a clear tone that lasts ten seconds.
The original Charge d Affaires was created by Rene Bannwart in 1956 and the main feature of this model was the presence of an alarm system that reminded one of appointments due
Founded in 1955 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, this was the very first Corum watch and was presented in 1956 - it was first also to have an alarm function.
The Corum brand was established within the Swiss the watch-making industry section of La Chaux des Fonds in 1955 by Gaston Reis and his nephew Rene Barnwart.
The new model which bore the now-synonymous Corum Key logo, featured a mechanical movement with alarm function in a classy stainless steel case, and was issued as a 100-piece Limited Edition.
This re-issue with a manual movement has a commemorative bridge on the back of the watch linking the past to the present, which is sure to make this a very special watch for collectors.
Leather strap with a tang buckle.
Water resistant to 30 meters / 100 feet.
