2012 Baselworld - Bovet revealed the much-anticipated Pininfarina Ottante Due Tourbillon.
On the occasion of its 80th anniversary the Italian brand Pininfarina, famous with its production of auto bodies and excellent car design, in 2010 began successfully to collaborate with Bovet.
This is the latest watch coming out of the collaboration of these two powerhouse brands.
The new Ottante Due also has the Amadeo Convertible technology, which is patented by the brand.
This unique design allows you to easily transform the chronometer and turn it into a pocket watch, then, if you want, to a desktop display.
Bovet also makes the conversion exceptionally easy, with no tools needed at all.
The case is 18K red gold, with a diameter of 45 mm.
The crown is located on the case at the 12 o’clock position.
The front side of the case is equipped with a sapphire crystal, which also serves as a transparent case back.
The plate of the dial is artfully carved and at the flange the dial is graduated by minute markings.
Central hour and minute hands are luminescent.
Hours & minutes have central hands.
Seconds are mounted on the tourbillon carriage located at the 6 o'clock position.
Analog power reserve indicator is located at the 12 o'clock position.
Inside the watch case of the Pininfarina Ottante Due is the Dimier 1738 with manual winding, consisting of 281 components, 66 of which are for the Tourbillon alone.
This robust caliber provides a 7-day power reserve and the balance frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour.
