New for 2012 - Cartier's brand new Tank Anglaise - the big story from the tank category of watches at SIHH 2012.
At the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in January of 2012, Cartier introduced the newest addition to the brand’s line of luxury watches.
The latest design is a modified version of the iconic Tank style Cartier is best known for.
The Anglaise is the third model to be attributed to a particular region, following the Americaine and Tank Francaise.
The case to the Anglaise is bulkier than the other two, but features a rounded, ergonomic profile and has a crown that is integrated right into the signature parallel brancards.
This watch will be available in three different sizes, in both men's and women's pieces, but the clear favorite is the large sized men's watch, as that is the piece that will use Cartier's excellent in-house 1904MC caliber.
The Tank Anglaise is available in three ladies' and men's sizes, in three colors of gold: white, yellow and pink.
Not only is the Tank Anglaise destined to be another big hit for Cartier in the luxury watch market- it is also an important piece in the brand’s history.
The Tank Anglaise will house Cartier’s very first, in-house made movement - the 1904MC caliber (for the larger watch sizes).
The Tank features the bracelet seamlessly incorporated into the case, Roman numerals, chemin-de-fer chapter ring, and blued-steel sword-shaped hands.
