Chrisp was most famous and noted as a brilliant fish artist and was commissioned by the State of New York Conservation Department to undertake a survey of the State's watershed and produced a series of beautiful fish portraits.
These small drawings however, are a testament to Chrip's artistic talent and his enjoyment in capturing the city of New York and the countryside, showing a different side of his artistic ability. |
